A PAUSE WITH A PURPOSE
Are you on auto-pilot with life’s routines and responsibilities? Are you approaching, or in the midst of a life change? Do you find it challenging to carve out time to reflect? Do you have a growing desire to be more intentional about how you're spending your time and energy?
If you’ve answered yes, or even “maybe”, to any of these questions, keep reading.
The Kāla Connections Mid-Winter Reset is an invitation to step away from the everyday and make time for yourself. A chance to take stock, reconnect with what matters at this stage of life, and explore what you'd like the next season to hold.
Through mindful and accessible yoga, guided journalling, thoughtful conversations and time in nature, we'll create opportunities to slow down, clear some mental clutter, exchange perspectives and consider what we'd like to change or make more space for in our lives.
Whether you're approaching a significant life change, navigating a new chapter or simply feeling ready to be a little more intentional about your life, there's room for you here.
Be assured, however, that there's no expectation to have all the answers, make big decisions or reinvent yourself. I definitely don't believe you can be transformed over a three-day retreat, or even a week-long retreat!
Rather, the Mid-Winter Reset is about creating opportunities to clear our heads through mindful movement, ask ourselves and others some different questions, listen more closely to the thoughts that may be simmering just beneath the surface, and discover what might be possible when we give ourselves the space to think.
You'll leave with a little more clarity about what's important to you, fresh perspectives and perhaps a few ideas for bringing more of what matters into your everyday life.
The Kāla Connections Mid-Winter Reset is a weekend to pause, reconnect and make room for what's next.
TIME TO FOCUS IN A SERENE SPACE
For three days and two nights, we’ll gather at Le Manoir de la Forêt, a private retreat venue tucked into a 29-acre property in Cantley, Quebec. Only 30-minutes from central Ottawa, the Manoir is a welcoming, wooded oasis , surrounded by quiet nature to help melt away your daily grind. We will have exclusive use of the venue for our retreat weekend to fully enjoy this serene space, including a dedicated practice space, a cozy library and the post and beam Oak Room.
Over three days, we’ll share yoga practices that range from energizing flows to quiet, grounding movement, each one accessible to all levels. We’ll be treated to nourishing meals freshly prepared by the professional kitchen team. We’ll have space for reflection with guided meditation and journaling, and pockets of unstructured time to wander, nap, snowshoe, or simply watch the light shift through the forest.
I’m especially excited for the return of Venus Chirip, who will accompany me during a special practice for a sublime fireside soundbath.
A sublime soundbath awaits!
